What We Did On Our Holidays, i.e. Made A Film

posted @1:50 p.m. by Richard Kelly

This guest submission from TIM HEANEY shows the true list-maker's attention to detail - basically, Ten Movies Set In A Different Country to the Movie's Place of Origin. Pedants will quibble about the nation-state status of entries #9 and #10, but not me.

user: Tim Heaney

1: Casablanca North American Film set in Morocco

2: Life of Brian British film set in Palestine

Very creative list, Tim. I particularly like the last two and feel compelled to try and come up with an even more creative list...

Meanwhile, Richard may not be a pedant but I am: surely Life of Brian was set in Judea, Palestine being a later name for that region...?

Brian: "Excuse me. Are you the Judean People's Front?"
Reg: "F**k off! We're the People's Front of Judea!"

Classic! (and of course you're right about Judea)
